How to Prepare for Your Tattoo Session
• Get a good night’s sleep before your appointment
• Eat a proper meal 1–2 hours before your session, take some snacks with you to keep energy level up
• Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of
• Avoid alcohol and drugs for at least 24 hours
• Avoid aspirin or blood-thinning medications if possible
• Moisturise the area daily for a week , day before soak skin and exfoliate to get rid of old skin which can clog needles and affect flow of ink
• Avoid sunburns, tanning, fake tan on the tattoo area
• Wear comfortable clothing with easy access to the area
• Arrive clean and bring a valid ID
• Let your artist know about any medical conditions
Proper preparation helps ensure a smoother session and better healing.
